The Plaintiff in Error, George Monroe (Buck) Jones, hereinafter referred to as the Defendant, was convicted in the Criminal Court of Davidson County, Tennessee, Division I, of the offense of armed robbery and sentenced to ten years in the State Penitentiary. He was also convicted as a habitual criminal and sentenced to confinement for life in the Penitentiary. The Defendant seasonably filed a motion for a new trial which was overruled...
