In this case, plaintiff sought damages for injuries resulting from the alleged negligent operation of defendants' truck in striking plaintiff's car from the rear. A jury trial resulted in a verdict for the defendants. On post-trial motion, the trial court first granted plaintiff's motion for new trial and denied his motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict.
