This is an action to recover a penalty of $250 for violation of the Safety Appliance Act, 45 U.S.C.A. §§ 1-16.1 The violation occurred on June 8, 1961, when the railroad was operated by The New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad Company, a foreign corporation.
