Defendant, Harry McElroy, who was tried by a jury in the criminal court of Cook County, was convicted of unlawfully selling narcotic drugs and sentenced to the penitentiary for a term of not less than 10 nor more than 12 years. He prosecutes this writ of error for review contending: (1) that a proper foundation was not laid for the admission
