This case arises out of an automobile accident which occurred on July 17, 1961, on U. S. Highway 61 (the "Airline" Highway) about two miles north of Kenner, Louisiana. At the point of the accident, this highway is a four-lane road, with two lanes proceeding north to Baton Rouge and two proceeding south to New Orleans.
