Defendant, Joseph Francis Newman, has appealed a jury verdict finding him guilty of six counts of an indictment in which he was charged with one count of conspiring with eight, named, co-defendants, as proscribed by 18 U.S.C.A. § 371, to violate the federal automobile theft statutes, 18 U.S.C.A. §§ 2312 and 2313, and five counts alleging separate, substantive offenses under § 2312 for stealing and transporting automobiles...
