This appeal arises from a conviction of murder in the first degree. On February 8, 1963, Jerry James Johnson was charged by information filed in the Pulaski Circuit Court. The information alleged that appellant murdered Aliene Arrington on July 31, 1962, with malice aforethought, deliberation and premeditation in the perpetration of the crime of robbery by stabbing her with a knife.
