Ford, who was regularly employed by Coleman County Electric Cooperative, Inc., lost his life while blasting an oil well slush pit for Maxwell Drilling Company, hereinafter referred to as Maxwell. Traders & General Insurance Company was the Cooperative's compensation insurance carrier, and Maxwell had a similar policy issued by Texas Employers' Insurance Association.
