This appeal involves a contest between the holder of a vendor's lien and chattel mortgage and the holder of a landlord's lien and privilege relative to the proceeds of a judicial sale.

The basic facts are undisputed. L. Kent Morrison, plaintiff in suit, leased certain premises in the City of New Orleans to Lee Roy Faulk, and upon default of Faulk for nonpayment of rent, Morrison sued and obtained judgment against him for $36,100.00 which amount...
