Mary S. Shamblee, appellant, instituted this action against Virginia Transit Company, appellee, to recover damages for personal injuries she received while riding as a paying passenger on one of the company's buses. The jury returned a verdict for plaintiff in the sum of $4,000, and defendant's motion to set it aside as being contrary to the law and the evidence was sustained. From this action of the court...
