On August 15, 1960, plaintiff, while shopping in the retail department store of the defendant in LaSalle, Illinois, slipped and fell. To recover for the alleged injuries which she sustained as a result of this fall, this action was brought. A jury trial resulted in a verdict in favor of the plaintiff for $1200.
