The defendant, James Simmons, appeals from a conviction of the crime of robbery.

A service station was held up at about 8:00 p.m. December 8, 1961, by three men, one of whom had a revolver. The three men were seen by the service station attendant and by two women in an adjacent house. None of these witnesses could identify Simmons at the trial, but the service station attendant and one of the women had identified...
