The claimant, Wayman Eady, of Logan, West Virginia, while an employee of the defendant, Merrill Coal Company, at its coal mine at Taplin, Logan County, West Virginia, was caught in a fall of slate and sustained injuries to his back, pelvis and bladder on June 19, 1953.
