The defendant was indicted for obtaining money from Chris Lovende by means of the confidence game. He was tried before a jury, found guilty and sentenced to the penitentiary for a minimum of three and maximum of eight years. The defendant's sole contention here is that he was not proved guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
