BELL, Circuit Judge.

Roberts was indicted for violation of Title 18 U.S.C.A. § 2312. He allegedly transported a stolen motor vehicle on November 30, 1962 from Houston, Texas to Savannah, Georgia.

The indictment was returned on February 12, 1963. On February 14, 1963, according to appellant, and this is the basis of the point of the appeal, the court appointed a lawyer to represent him. On the same day he waived arraignment and entered a plea of not guilty...
