The defendant, Jerry Clements, was convicted of the crime of burglary by a jury in the circuit court of Franklin County and was sentenced to the penitentiary for a term of from 2 to 10 years.

On March 30 or 31 in 1959, about 5:00 P.M., the defendant, in the company of two friends, John Eldridge and Gary Shoemaker, left East Moline...
