Mr. JUSTICE HOUSE delivered the opinion of the court:

Defendants, Lawrence Reynolds and Roger Labatt, were indicted for burglary and for larceny of a motor vehicle. Labatt entered a plea of guilty and was sentenced. Defendant Reynolds was tried by a jury in the criminal court of Cook County, was found guilty, and after a hearing in aggravation and mitigation was sentenced to the penitentiary for a term of not less than 8 nor more than 12...
