Defendant's answer to plaintiff's complaint admits that the facts alleged in the complaint are true but denies that his conduct in relation to such facts constituted unprofessional conduct. However, his brief filed upon hearing the cause by the supreme court "recognizes" that such conduct "is regrettable and unforgivable" and offers character evidence by affidavits to mitigate the offenses charged by the complaint.
