The jury returned a verdict in plaintiff's favor in the sum of $10,000, which was subsequently reduced to $8,000 by the trial court. This is an appeal by defendant from an order denying his motion for a new trial on the grounds that (1) the verdict even as reduced was excessive; and (2) the trial court erred in certain of its instructions to the jury...
