Plaintiff brought suit against defendants Robert Hill and Donald Sealy, charging assault and battery, and against defendant Essex Liquors, Inc. (Essex), under the Dram Shop Act (Ill Rev Stats, c 43, § 135 (1961)). The jury returned a verdict in favor of plaintiff and against the three defendants in the sum of $5500.
