Plaintiffs instituted this action against Epsco, Incorporated (Epsco) and Monitor Systems, Inc. (Monitor) for patent infringement. Defendant Monitor was served in this district and has raised no question of venue or of this court's jurisdiction. Service on Epsco was attempted in two fashions: (a) upon a vice-president of Monitor,1 and (b) through the Secretary of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
