Plaintiff's declaration was filed August 25, 1961, claiming injury and damages by reason of the negligent operation of an automobile by defendant. Plaintiff and defendant were co-employees at the Oldsmobile Division of General Motors Corporation in Lansing. Pertinent parts of the declaration are quoted herewith:

"2. That plaintiff is employed as a plant protection man for Oldsmobile Division of General Motors Corporation at their plant located...
