A jury found the defendant guilty of murder of the first degree and determined that the penalty should be imprisonment for life. The trial court denied the defendant's motion for a new trial and sentenced him in accordance with the determination of the jury. The appeal is from the judgment and from the order denying the motion for a new trial.1
