Kathryn Low Davenport sued Hope Davenport for a divorce in the Circuit Court of DeKalb County, Alabama, in Equity. She prayed for a decree of divorce, a vinculo matrimonii, permanent alimony, and alimony pendente lite. She alleged cruelty and habitual drunkenness.
