Plaintiff is a former patient of the Missouri State Hospital No. 4 at Farmington, Missouri, of which defendant is the Superintendent. In substance, the petition alleges that plaintiff, a citizen of Michigan, was falsely imprisoned through his involuntary confinement in the hospital by defendant, a citizen of Missouri, and that defendant assaulted plaintiff by causing him to undergo involuntarily electric shock treatments.
