Defendant was indicted for the murder of Wesley Lyons. He was tried by the court without a jury, found guilty, and sentenced to the penitentiary for a term of 40 years. His contention on this writ of error is that he was denied due process of law, contrary to the constitution of the State of Illinois and to the United States constitution, in that he was compelled to proceed to trial...
