Mr. and Mrs. Carraway (plaintiffs-appellants) instituted this action for the recovery of general and special damages arising from the death of their 2 1/2-year-old son, Robert, who was killed when he was struck by a pickup truck owned and operated by Mr. Johnson (defendant-respondent). The jury returned a verdict in favor of the defendant, and the trial court entered judgment accordingly.
