On March 16, 1959, Walter Arthur Cooper was charged in the County Court of McClain County, Oklahoma, with the offense of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor. He pleaded not guilty, and his appearance bond was set at $1,000.00. The plaintiff in error signed the bond as surety, and Cooper was released from custody.
