COMPTON, Chief Justice.

This is an action for personal injuries sustained by appellant as the result of stumbling and falling over "clumps" of ice which appellee allegedly permitted to accumulate adjoining a carport adjacent to a motel room occupied by appellant as a paying guest. Issue as to negligence was joined by general denial. Appellant's negligence was also pleaded as a defense.
