Epstein was indicted along with others in a three count indictment charging (1) larceny (this count was abandoned by the State); (2) violation of § 39-4220, T.C.A., bringing stolen property into the State; and (3) violation of § 39-4219, T.C.A., receiving property stolen out of the State. Epstein was likewise indicted in a separate indictment charging the violation of § 45-2216, T.C.A., which makes it unlawful for a pawnbroker...
