Defendant, Perle Tappin, was indicted in the criminal court of Cook County on two indictments. He was represented by counsel of his own choice and pleaded not guilty, waived a jury trial and was found guilty of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and sentenced to a term of one year's confinement in the common jail of Cook County...
