This is an action of trespass for false imprisonment brought by the plaintiff against a police officer of the city of Providence. On January 24, 1962 the case was tried before a justice of the superior court sitting with a jury, and resulted in a verdict for the defendant. Thereafter a bill of exceptions was taken to this court by plaintiff and is now before us for determination.
