This lawsuit arises out of the crash of an Eastern Air Lines Douglas DC-7 passenger plane at Moisant Airport, New Orleans, Louisiana.

In the early hours of the morning of January 15, 1959, Eastern Air Lines Flight 545 was coming into Moisant Airport for a landing. The weather in the New Orleans area was marginal — foggy, but within the minimum atmospheric conditions the Federal Aeronautical Association approves for a landing....
