Upon trial without a jury the appellant, John Hollman, was found guilty of having knowingly received stolen property (ten chain saws) and was sentenced to imprisonment for ten years. For reversal he contends that his confession of the crime was involuntary and that its introduction in evidence by the State violated his rights under the due process clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.

The ten saws in question were stolen from Timberland...
