This suit is for the custody and care of Duane Vera Thrash, a girl seven years of age. Mrs. Francisca G. Thrash, on January 15, 1962, filed a petition for a writ of habeas corpus in the District Court of Jim Wells County, Texas, seeking to take the custody of Duane from her mother, who is now Mrs. Domitila P.
