This case arises under the Firemen's and Policemen's Civil Service Act, which is in effect in the City of Beaumont, Texas. Appellant was Inspector of Detectives of the City of Beaumont. The Chief of Police suspended appellant indefinitely and he appealed to the Civil Service Commission.
