Plaintiff's petition at law, asking damages of the defendant because of alienation of the affections of plaintiff's wife was filed on July 29, 1960. The defendant filed his answer, in substance denying all the material allegations of the petition. Trial commenced on February 13, 1961, and resulted in a verdict for the plaintiff in the sum of $5,600.
