A tax deed was executed on April 30, 1949, to the appellants by the Sheriff of Madison Parish, Louisiana, describing and purporting to convey Fractional Sections 17, 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23, Township 14 North, Range 14 East, with an exception of land described in a deed to which reference was made.
