Plaintiff, a sixty-three year old farmer, lives on the river road in St. Charles Parish on the east bank of the Mississippi River. His petition alleges that on November 7, 1958, at about the hour of 5:15 to 5:20 p. m., he was driving his farm tractor in a southerly direction on the river road when defendant, Joseph S. Becnel, Sr., driving his Chevrolet automobile in the same direction negligently caused his automobile to collide with the left rear...
