The Zoning Board had granted petitioner's application for a "special exception" under the local village zoning ordinance, authorizing petitioner to erect and maintain a gasoline filling station and public garage on its corner property at Montauk Highway and Phyllis Drive in the village. The board, however, as an incident to its authorization, imposed the condition that, on the Phyllis Drive side of the property, there shall be no "aprons" for the ingress and egress of automobiles...
