Claimant herein was seriously injured when his car skidded off Route 97 about one mile north of the Village of Long Eddy as he was proceeding downgrade in a southerly direction. He had left his home near Hancock to go to New York City and was accompanied by his sister-in-law who was killed in the accident for which claimant seeks damages.

The road was slippery in spots as claimant...
