The plaintiff brought this action to recover a balance claimed to be due for services rendered as an architect under a written contract. The defendant admitted the execution of the contract but denied any indebtedness under it. By way of special defense, the defendant alleged that the plaintiff's services were not done in accordance with the agreement, that they were done improperly and after an unreasonable delay...
