Gravis, assignee of all of the stock of Sanlou Production Company, instituted this suit against the defendant, Gardner-Denver Company, endeavoring to recover the sum of $56,032.78, representing the cost of renting, shipping and installing two compressor units, which were leased from the defendant and which failed to perform satisfactorily, together with damages incurred as a result thereof.
