This is a proceeding to determine heirship and to construe a will. On December 23, 1957, Vivian Nielsen executed an holographic will in which she devised and bequeathed certain property to her brother and her husband. On December 24, 1957, she effected a codicil to the holographic will by striking out certain terms and adding others. [1a] The will as modified appears as follows:
