The plaintiffs, husband and wife, sought to recover damages for injuries suffered by the wife in a fall on alleged defective and icy steps at an entrance to the defendant's home. The husband claimed only the resulting expenditures, and the wife is hereinafter referred to as the plaintiff. The defendant denied the plaintiff's claims of negligence and pleaded as special defenses her contributory negligence and assumption...
