SHEPARD, J.
This is an appeal by defendant from a judgment of conviction of burglary, second degree (violation of Pen. Code, § 459). While the notice of appeal and appellant's briefs are not in proper form, appellant is in propria persona and in the interests of justice they will be liberally construed so as to permit a hearing on the merits. (Cal. Rules of Court, rule 31(b)
