In this personal injury action two vehicles collided in or near an intersection, each vehicle operator (plus the owner of one) sued the other, and the jury's verdict was for the two cross-complainants.

After this verdict all parties moved for a new trial, defendants because they were dissatisfied with the jury's damage award, plaintiff because he took issue with the jury's fixing of liability on him...
