Defendant was convicted of kidnapping in the first degree (G.S. 1961 Supp., 21-449) and of murder in the first degree (G.S. 1949, 21-401). He was sentenced to life imprisonment on each charge, the sentences to run consecutively. He has appealed from the denial of his motion for a new trial.
