A petition to incorporate the Village of Inverness was filed in the County Court of Cook County December 19, 1961. The Village was incorporated May 8, 1962. It passed an ordinance levying taxes for the fiscal year May 1, 1962-April 30, 1963 in the amount of $14,975.
