Petitioner, Winford S. Johnson, was confined in the Yuma County jail on August 8, 1958. Yuma County Fair, Inc., a nonprofit private corporation, applied to the Yuma County sheriff for prisoners to assist in dismantling some buildings near Dateland, Arizona. Petitioner, one of the prisoners given the opportunity to work, was injured while assisting in dismantling the buildings. He filed a claim with the Industrial Commission of Arizona for compensation...
